Starting as Contract Manager with 4 Site Security two and a half years ago, Mark was appointed Operations Manager in 2024 to support a portfolio of guarding contracts and Patrol and Response in our growing business. In his role, he spends a lot of time out on site with our colleagues and meeting clients to develop relationships.

“I talk to our clients to make sure things are going smoothly. I carry out regular site risk assessments, surveys and assignment instructions and prepare sites for audits. I make sure that the sites are well staffed and our people are happy and well-trained. My favourite thing about my job is working with a fantastic team. From our CEOs to the HQ team and our people on the front line, everyone pulls together and shares our common values and culture. Security is a hard job, but we help each other out.”

Mark loves live music and is Paul Weller’s biggest fan. He is a keen golfer. But the thing he most loves to do when he’s not working is spend time with his grandchildren – he has two and one on the way.

He is a keen sportsman and enjoys a competition, having been a professional rugby player when he was younger, and now a regular golfer.

We asked Mark: Who inspires you and why?
Mark said: “My kids and my grandchildren inspire me more than anyone. I am very proud of them and how strong they are, despite some very difficult times. My daughter was discovered to be very ill when she was pregnant with her one year old. She has bravely battled through and has since raised £20k for Lymphoma Action, and the great news is she’s pregnant again too. My son has a daughter and is an important part of my strong, supportive and loving family. My colleagues and work have helped to keep me sane when sometimes it has felt hard to get up each day and do it all over again.”
