Congratulations to our officer Nazam Ahmed on his Outstanding Colleague Award for taking the initiative and volunteering his time to deliver some fantastic work in the local community.

When Nazam discovered that Lilycroft Primary School in Bradford had a careers day coming up, he immediately saw this as an opportunity to get involved to help the school and the children, and to build an important community relationship. He took time to arrange lots of exciting, age-appropriate activities for the careers fair so that the children could get a real idea of what a security officer does.

Attending on the day of the fair, Nazam educated the pupils on how two- way radio works to share urgent information, they learnt how to record incidents, and were delighted to receive 4 Site Security pens as a reward for their detail and accuracy.

After the event, the children fed back that they had learned the importance of staying safe and how to look after each other. Lilycroft Primary’s Head Teacher gave Nazam a glowing report too saying: “The 4site Security team's ability to connect with children of all ages and convey complex ideas in an accessible way was impressive.”

But Nazam didn’t just stop there. Since the careers event, he has returned to the school for a follow-up session with two Year 5 classes where the qualities of a security guard and all aspects of the role were explained, while the pupils got the opportunity to ask more detailed questions.

Thanks to Nazam for clearly demonstrating The 4 Site Way, and helping our business build strong relationships and partnerships that enable us all to thrive together and create social impact.
