Outstanding Performance Award - Ettore Mandrelli clearly shows that people matter in security
4 Site Security officer Ettore Mandrelli clearly demonstrated that his job isn’t only about keeping premises secure, it’s about critical thinking, good communication and empathy.
Recently, in the early hours of the morning, an intoxicated man was asking for access to our client’s site at the Jet 2 training centre in Cheadle. Ettore explained that the man could not come in to the building but was concerned for his wellbeing and the fact that he appeared lost and disorientated. The man was not appropriately dressed for the poor weather conditions, and so Ettore took the initiative to contact the police to help the man to warmth and safety. The police attended and escorted the man from site.
Jet 2’s Training Centre Manager Kellie Etherington nominated Ettore for the Outstanding Performance Award as she was very impressed with the way he had handled the situation with professionalism and sensitivity. “I'd just like to pass on compliments to Ettore from myself and the team on his conduct with this, not only keeping the building safe and fully briefing me when I arrived on site, but also for his caring and sensitivity for the safety of the man as well,” commented Kelly.
Our Senior Leadership Team was proud to make the 4 Site Security Outstanding Performance award this month to Ettore for ‘doing things right’ and embodying our company value of integrity.
