Outstanding Performance Award - Osvaldo Soares’s quick thinking helps police clamp down on criminal activity

Osvaldo Soares became part of our team less than 12 months ago, when 4 Site Security began the professional guarding and CCTV contract with Maritime Transport. He has already proved himself to be a professional and conscientious colleague and is the first worthy winner of our 4 Site Security Outstanding Performance Award of 2024.

Our client Maritime Transport is the UK’s leading provider of integrated road and rail freight logistics. While on duty and out on patrol at the Mill Lane site in Normanton, our supervisor Osvaldo quickly picked up on the fact that there was a black car with four people inside acting suspiciously outside the perimeter. He immediately went to check the CCTV and reported the unusual behaviour and his concerns to the police, even though this seemed to pose no real threat to the Maritime depot.

The police were delighted to hear from Osvaldo. The vehicle he had so carefully observed had been involved in hit and run activity with the police earlier and they had been searching for this car. Osvaldo’s fast thinking and communication meant that the police were able to precisely locate the car, arrest the occupants, and recover the stolen vehicle they were in.

Maritime Transport’s management team have commended Osvaldo for the proactive way he dealt with this incident.

Terry Hargreaves, Epta, Bradford

Security Supervisor Terry has been working for our client Epta in Idle, Bradford, for some 20 years. Epta provides refrigeration and HVACR services for some of the UK’s key food service industry businesses. He is well respected by the Epta team and was nominated for exemplifying our Support value by Epta’s Fleet Supervisor Courtenay Dean.

Terry is hard working and looks for opportunities to help out whenever and wherever he can. Courtenay told us: “He is super on the ball, he knows everyone coming in and out of site, he is super-efficient and absolutely goes the extra mile every day – far beyond what is expected of him. Whilst Terry is a 4 Site employee, he is very much part of our team and we value him. A huge thanks to Terry for all he does for us all, we’d be lost without him

4 Site Security Officer Jet 2 Training Centre, Bradford

Our security officer at Jet 2’s prestigious training centre in Bradford has been appreciated by our client once again for being polite, amenable, conscientious, and hard working. He is “one of the most professional individuals in the workplace: always punctual, smart and extremely polite to everyone that passes through the training centre. Nothing is ever too much trouble. He goes above and beyond is all aspects of his role and has the respect of all staff members and colleagues.”
