As Business Manager, Sharon is responsible for looking after new and existing clients, processing and invoicing their orders, as well as ensuring that suppliers are paid, and managing training schedules through the accredited portal.

“I’ve been the Business Manager for Systems for two years now and the thing I love most about working for 4 Site Security is undoubtedly the people,” says Sharon. “We’re a good team. While I have autonomy in my job, I feel like someone will always be there to help me out at any time, should I need it.”

Sharon has a wide variety of professional experience, having worked in banking in Devon for many years, and then working for a fire and security company when she moved to Barnsley 14 years ago.

In her spare time, Sharon enjoys being outdoors tending her garden and doing DIY around the house. She admits to often having more enthusiasm than skill and describes Google as “her friend”. Once she’s worked up a thirst after all her hard work, you’ll find Sharon enjoying the local pub.

We asked Sharon: What job did you want to do when you were younger and why?
“When I left school, I started to train as an occupational therapist. I thought I wanted a career helping people. However, the experience of working on a geriatric ward, made me realise that the job was far too difficult emotionally and just wasn’t for me.”
