Opportunity knocks with technology at 4 Site Security
As our company develops, wherever possible, we actively seek to invest in initiatives that will enhance our systems and processes as well as our colleague support and training. All ideas and innovations are closely considered alongside, and matched with, our strong 4 Site Security values of Support, Integrity, Trust and Excellence.
Recently, our Operations Manager Richard Grundy organised an innovation day where a number of leading companies were invited to share their cu ting-edge technology with us. It was a long but fascinating day!
Here, Richard shares some experiences from the sessions. “We saw some extremely exciting demonstrations and had the opportunity to experience first-hand a range of quite amazing innovation:
Moonhub is an Artificial Intelligence training solution that allows security colleagues to immerse themselves in high-risk, realistic role-playing scenarios. Wearing a visor and using hand-held controllers, Moonhub creates a virtual training reality that is more effective and engaging than traditional methods. Scenarios can be recreated, such as fire prevention, riots and demonstrations, or terrorism incidents, where officers can test and learn from and fine-tune their approaches and reaction times. This provides a “safe place to fail”, which helps learning from different situations, and builds confidence and experience, translating to better performance in the real world. Moonhub reduces costs of physical facilities and equipment, and the cost and carbon footprint of travel.
Tracktik, an optimised security workforce management system, is already used by 4 Site Security to support our processes and reporting, as well as helping our drivers on the front line. We were particularly interested to explore further with Tracktik how we can connect frontline operations and back office work to reduce manual tasks, create value for money, and optimise time.
We met Calls9 which is a consultancy with the specialist expertise to help businesses stay at the forefront of innovation and digital transformation. Their workshops, seminars and consultation programmes help to spark new ideas, identify and unlock new opportunities, products and services, and to streamline processes for optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
Drones are already in use in commercial and security operations and, at 4 Site Security, we wanted to specifically explore how drones can help to support workplace safety. Drone Evolution came to meet us at the innovation day with a focus on saving time, cost and safety critical environments. Drone Evolution are experienced in bringing benefit for people and organisations through the use of drone technology with a clear sight on keeping colleagues out of harm’s way.
We were delighted to be able to spend some valuable time talking to experts and getting ahead of the curve with the possibilities of latest technology.”
